Dem Rep. Castro: We’ll Challenge Trump in the Courts, Streets if He Declares National Emergency

During a Thursday appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-TX) discussed what the Democrats’ response would be if Trump declared a national emergency at the border.

Castro said if that were to happen, Democrats would challenge Trump every way they can, including “in the courts” and “on the streets.”

“We will challenge him in every way that we can. We’ll challenge him here in Congress, we’ll challenge him in the courts. We’ll challenge him on the streets and protest. We’ll do everything that we can to push back on what the president does if he does declare a national emergency because of the border.”
