During MSNBC’s coverage of former President George H.W. Bush’s passing, MSNBC Correspondent Garrett Haake stated Bush is who people in his generation “look to as what former presidents are supposed to look like,” and that Bush “redefined service” after leaving the White House.
Haake said, “[G]rowing up down here, for people in my generation, George Bush is the person we look to as what former presidents are supposed to look like, a man who redefined service after his White House tenure, especially notable down here in Texas.”
