On Wednesday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz reacted to President Trump reportedly asking the DOJ to go after former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and former FBI Director James Comey by saying the move isn’t impeachable, but it’s “a terrible mistake.”
Dershowitz said, “It’s a terrible mistake. You don’t want to weaponize the political differences.”
He added, “It’s not an impeachable offense, but it’s the wrong thing to do. … It’s just each side trying to weaponize anything they can find and criminalize. You don’t like what something did in America today, politically, oh let’s prosecute, let’s go after them. Lock her up, impeach, that’s not the way to go.”
