Dershowitz: Kavanaugh Believed to Be Guilty Because ‘He’s a White Man, She’s a Survivor’

During a Monday appearance on “Fox & Friends,” Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz weighed in on the sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court associate justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh, saying there is a presumption of guilt by liberals because Kavanaugh, a white man, has been accused of sexual misconduct by a female, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford.

“The myth out there is that this is a job interview. Nonsense,” Dershowitz said. “First of all, if it was ever a job interview you don’t start the job interview with half of your potential employers saying, ‘We’re not going to hire you under any circumstances.’ Second, once a person is accused publicly of specific, focused crimes that are career-destroying, that job interview metaphor disappears. You have to now prove the allegations by clear and convincing evidence with due process.”

Dershowitz went on to argue that liberals have already presumed Kavanaugh guilty because he is a white man and Ford is a female survivor, adding “all the rules are called off” when it involves a white man being accused.

“We know he is guilty because he is a white man, she’s a woman, she’s a survivor. That is the end of the inquiry,” he explained.
