During a press conference on Wednesday, President Trump stated that he could change his mind regarding the accusations against Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh.
Trump said, “They’re giving the women a major chance to speak. Now, it’s possible I’ll hear that and I’ll say, ‘Hey, I’m changing my mind.’ That is possible. We want to give them a chance to speak.”
He added, “[T]hey’re going to have a big shot at speaking and making their case. And you know what, I could be persuaded also.”
Trump further stated he couldn’t say whether Kavanaugh’s accusers are liars and will “see what happens tomorrow. … It’s possible that they will be convincing.”
Trump added that if he thought Kavanaugh was guilty, he would withdraw Kavanaugh’s nomination.
