Fox Sports 1 “Undisputed” co-host Shannon Sharpe sang Nike’s praises Tuesday in response to the athletic sportswear company’s “Just Do It” ad campaign with activist free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
“I am extremely proud and happy,” Sharpe said.
He added, “For Nike to bring Colin Kaepernick on board, Skip, for this slogan — the 30th anniversary, lets me know they’ve done their homework.”
Nike’s decision was met with backlash and some people even burned their Nike gear, but Sharpe believes “history will look very fondly on Colin Kaepernick” in the same way it does Muhammad Ali, Martin Luther King Jr. and Rosa Parks.
