Friday, Rep. Scott Taylor (R-VA) shot down the idea of President Donald Trump’s military parade, reasoning it that the United States is “still at war right now.”
The Pentagon announced Thursday the parade that was scheduled for 2018 had been pushed back a year, but Taylor thinks it is a “bad idea” as long as troops are still in harm’s way.
“Cancel it,” Taylor, an Iraq War Veteran, said on CNN’s “New Day.”
“I don’t think it’s a good idea, that’s all,” he explained. “I don’t agree that it’s a good idea. We’re still at war right now. … Our people are still out there around the world right now in harm’s way. I think it’s a bad idea and it should be canceled.”
