During a Sunday appearance on “Fox & Friends,” Republican Florida Governor Rick Scott proposed some ways to improve Washington D.C.
Scott, who is running for Senate to unseat Sen. Bill Nelson (D-FL), suggested one way to fix Washington D.C. is that Congressmen and Senators who vote to shut down the government should not continue to get paid.
“If you’re a Congressman or Senator and you vote to shut down the government, you shouldn’t continue to get paid,” Scott said. “No budget, no pay.”
He then added that Senators should “work full time.”
