Monday on CNN’s “New Day,” former Obama administration White House communications director Jen Psaki weighed on the Paul Manafort trial initiated by special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into alleged Russian interference into the 2016 presidential election.
She said it was a trial “about the court of law” and the “court of public opinion.”
“[T]he Manafort trial is certainly about the court of law and whether he is somebody who is sent to jail for quite a long time, perhaps his life, but it’s also about the court of public opinion,” Psaki stated.
