Dem Sen Blumenthal: If Trump’s Tweet ‘Isn’t Obstruction of Justice Itself, It Is Evidence of Intent’

While speaking to reporters on Capitol Hill on Wednesday, Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) reacted to President Trump’s tweet from earlier in the day where the president called on Attorney General Jeff Sessions to end the Russia probe by stating that if the tweet isn’t obstruction of justice in and of itself, “it is evidence of intent to obstruct justice.”

Blumenthal said, “If it isn’t obstruction of justice itself, it is evidence of intent to obstruct justice. These kinds of threats are no accident. They reflect a state of mind and intent to obstruct justice.”
