Wednesday while testifying before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said President Donald Trump had a “complete and proper understanding” of Russia’s attack on the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
Pompeo said, “I want you to know, President Trump has stated that he accepts our intelligence community’s conclusion that Russia meddled in the 2016 election.”
He added, “He has a complete and proper understanding of what happened. I know, I briefed him on it for over a year.”
