Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) said the Trump administration’s policy of separating families after they cross the border illegally was “inconsistent” with American values.
Collins said, “From the experience of previous administrations it does not act as a deterrent to use children in this fashion.”
She added, “It is inconsistent with our American values to separate these children from their parents unless there is evidence of abuse or another very good reason.”
