NASCAR’s Martin Truex Jr. visited the White House Monday to celebrate the 2017 Cup Series title with the president.
Truex said being able to visit the White House is a “huge honor” and that President Donald Trump was “an unbelievable host.”
TMZ Sports asked Truex about members from other sports refusing to go visit Trump in the White House.
“I think it’s a huge honor for me and my team,” he responded. “For them to invite us is amazing. I would never pass it up.”
When asked about the difference between NASCAR and other sports when it comes to the White House, Truex stated, “I think that NASCAR, in general, is very patriotic and very proud to be part of this, and very proud of the United States of America.”
