Tuesday on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” Reps. Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Matt Gaetz (R-FL) made the case that a second special counsel should be appointed to probe how the Department of Justice and FBI handled investigations into aspects of the 2016 presidential election.
After Jordan argued there were extraordinary circumstances that warranted this appointment, Gaetz responded by announcing Jordan had his endorsement for House Speaker.
“That’s why Jim Jordan should be Speaker of the House,” Gaetz added. “Then we would have some real oversight.”
“Checkmate — I’m not going to argue,” Hannity added. “By the way, for the record, I’m supporting Jim Jordan. I just endorsed him.”
