During Thursday’s White House Press Briefing, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders stated that if there is truth to reporting that the FBI has a spy in the Trump campaign, “it should certainly be looked into.”
A reporter at the briefing asked Sanders if the president believes the FBI had a spy in his campaign.
Sanders answered, “I haven’t spoken with him directly about that, but certainly seen the reports, and if there is any truth to that, it should certainly be looked into.”
Sanders also responded to a question about whether the president would take a different position on firing Special Counsel Mueller if it turned out the report is true by saying she wasn’t going to get into a hypothetical.
