While speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) stated Russia “didn’t like Hillary” and was “trying to help” Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in the 2016 election, and increased their efforts when then-candidate Trump became the “central figure” for the GOP.
Graham said, “It was pretty clear they were all over the place. They were trying to help Bernie. They didn’t like Hillary. When Trump became sort of the central figure on the Republican side, you could see the efforts increase. And what I would tell Republicans, they could come after us in 2018, and they probably will. So, I’ve got no reason to doubt the intelligence community’s finding. And I think the Senate Intel. Committee’s report makes sense to me.”
