On Thursday’s broadcast of CNN’s “At This Hour,” Representative Gregory Meeks (D-NY) celebrated the release of hostages from North Korea and expressed concern about President Trump using the summit with North Korea “as a real-life TV show” and not doing the necessary work for the summit.
Meeks said, “I think it is a good day. Anytime you have hostages released from…nonhumanitarian conditions, it’s important to have them coming home. And if Mr. Pompeo had something to do with that, I think that’s a good thing. But I am concerned about the president trying to utilize this as a real-life TV show and not do the substantive work that is necessary in such a summit. And so, that is still a wait and see.”
