Monday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said that despite history being against Republicans, he thought his party could keep control of the House of Representatives.
“I’m very confident that we can keep the majority,” McCarthy said. “I know that history plays against us — that only two times since World War II on an off-presidential election, the party in power having the White House actually gain seats. But remember this: You have one of the best economies moving forward. Ninety-percent of America just got a tax cut. In the process, they got their wages increasing.”
