Tuesday on ESPN’s “Highly Questionable,” Jemele Hill said that it is “time to get used to the idea that Colin Kaepernick won’t play in the NFL again” because owners around the league are “not willing” to accept a humanitarian.
“Unfortunately, I don’t think the Seahawks are the place for Colin Kaepernick to be anymore,” Hill stated. “They just got rid of two of their most vocal players, Michael Bennett, Richard Sherman. The tone seemed to be in the air that the Seahawks were looking for the type of players that had less personality, that brought less wattage, less attention. Colin Kaepernick, to them, doesn’t fit that bill.”
She continued, “Look, it’s time to get used to the idea that Colin Kaepernick won’t play in the NFL again. I think NFL ownership has made it pretty clear how they feel about this guy being in the league. They’re willing to accept people who commit acts of domestic violence, people commit other crimes, [but] they’re not willing to accept someone who is now a worldwide-known humanitarian, and that’s just how it is.”
