On Monday’s broadcast of CNN’s “OutFront,” Representative Ted Lieu (D-CA) responded to President Trump’s reaction to the raid on Trump attorney Michael Cohen by saying that the president’s comments “are un-American and disgraceful.” Lieu also characterized the raid as “a vindication of the principle” that nobody is above the law.
Lieu said, “The president’s comments are un-American and disgraceful. Fundamental to American democracy is the rule of law. And what the US attorney’s office for the Southern District of New York did today was a vindication of the principle that no one is above the law, not the president, not his attorney, no one.”
