Tuesday, former UCLA Bruins coach Jim Mora clarified his comments about his former quarterback Josh Rosen, who is a projected first-round pick in the 2018 NFL draft, when he said that Rosen was a “millennial” who needed “to be challenged intellectually.”
According to Mora, the comments were meant to be “complimentary.”
“Things can be misrepresented at times when people decide to edit it a certain way,” Mora said on “The Dan Patrick Show.”
Mora said he loves Rosen and if he focuses on football, “he will set the world on fire.”
“I love Josh, I love talking about him, I love pointing out all of the positives and helping to clear up some of the misrepresentations about him,” he stated.
“He’s a millennial. He wants to know why. Millennials, once they know why, they’re good,” Mora added. “Josh has a lot of interests in life. If you can hold his concentration level and focus only on football for a few years, he will set the world on fire. He has so much ability, and he’s a really good kid.”
