John Kasich Likes USC’s Darnold Out of Draft, But Unsure if Browns Should Draft him

Gov. John Kasich (R-OH) spoke briefly with TMZ Sports about the Cleveland Browns, who hold two top five picks in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Kasich said he likes Darnold, but is not sure if his Browns should grab the former USC Trojan quarterback after his poor performance in 2017.

“I’ve always been a fan of Darnold, but a guy yesterday told me that Darnold had a very bad year, that that bowl game, which I watched him and couldn’t believe it that may not be who he is,” said Kasich.

Kasich added that no matter which of the quarterbacks the Browns take in the first round, be it Darnold, Josh Rosen, Baker Mayfield or Josh Allen, the Browns “can improve themselves.”
