Joy Reid: People Oppose Allowing Guns in Schools Because It’s About Whether or Not We Live in a Civilized Society

Saturday on MSNBC’s “AM Joy,” host Joy Reid argued against allowing guns in school for teachers because it would mean society was less civilized.

“[J]ust about everybody I know doesn’t want their kids to go to school in an armed camp, doesn’t want the lunch lady and the teachers wielding guns and are really passionate about this issue, because it’s about whether you’re going to live in a civilized society or a society surrounded by people with more weapons,” Reid stated.
