On Thursday’s broadcast of CNN’s “OutFront,” Representative Jackie Speier (D-CA) stated that White House Chief of Staff John Kelly should “Absolutely not” keep his job over his handling of former White House Staff Secretary Rob Porter.
Speier said she believes the White House knew “full well” of the charges against Porter. She continued, “I mean, they were informed by one of his wives last year. They’ve known about this for at least a year. And frankly, what we have here is everyone thought that they were going to be able to weather the storm until photographs of one of his wives with a black eye came out. You know, I really wonder, when are we going to be willing to believe women without a photograph or an audio tape?”
Later on, anchor Erin Burnett asked, “Should Chief of Staff John Kelly keep his job?”
Speier responded, “Absolutely not. Absolutely not. He doesn’t get it. He really doesn’t get it.”
