On Friday’s “MSNBC Live,” Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) argued that while people should let Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation play out and Democrats shouldn’t run on impeaching the president, there is good reason for people to talk about impeachment.

Booker said, “I think that Mueller has got an investigation going. While there’s a lot of smoke, and there’s reason that people should be talking about impeachment, we should let this investigation run its course, … do it in a sober, nonpartisan way, and make our decisions afterwards. We, as Democrats, have so much more to run on and run for, that I don’t want the centerpiece of our elections in ’18 or ’20 to be what we’re against, or who we’re against, in this case.”
