During an interview with Garrett Haake aired on “MSNBC Live” on Friday, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms (D) argued that the federal government is treating cities as though they are “enemies of the state, if you will.”
Bottoms said, “It’s especially concerning when the federal government’s treating cities as if they are enemies of the state, if you will. People are really looking to local leadership for stability. Because we don’t have any stability at the national level.”
Bottoms also stated that the president should do a better job listening to mayors and local governments.
