On Thursday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “All In,” Representative Ted Lieu (D-CA) argued President Trump has said things and engaged in behavior that is “very disturbing” and isn’t “fit to be president.”
Lieu said, “I’m not a psychologist or psychiatrist, but it doesn’t take a mental health professional to know that the president has said very disturbing things and acted in very disturbing ways. And whatever you may call that, he is not fit to be president. And I think we need to take steps to try to control what he could do in terms of harm to the United States. This November, people can change the makeup of Congress to try and put more checks and balances on him. But I think we need to rise up as a nation and say, this is not normal. We need to stop this inappropriate behavior by the president of the United States.”
Lieu then answered a question on the use of the 25th Amendment by stating Congress doesn’t really play much of a role in the invocation of the 25th Amendment.
