On Wednesday’s “MSNBC Live,” MSNBC Global Affairs Contributor and former Undersecretary of State Ambassador Wendy Sherman drew a connection between President Trump’s tweet about North Korea, his feud with former strategist and Breitbart Executive Chairman Steve Bannon, and recent sexual harassment stories.
Sherman said, “[To] put your stories together, they are not disconnected. Steve Bannon and Donald Trump are really trying to one-up each other and show who’s more powerful. This is well-connected to all the sexual harassment stories, bear with me a moment here, that you all have been covering. We’ve all known guys who think they have to intimidate, use their power, use their prowess regarding women, show how strong and tough they are, and they’re usually the weakest guys. We know that the president of the United States, when he was building buildings, always said he built the tallest buildings, even if it wasn’t. And that’s what he’s doing here again. But what’s different here is this isn’t about people living in buildings. This is about the peace and security, not only of the United States, but the war. This is talking about a country, small, but one with nuclear weapons.”
