Stephen A Smith: Dan Le Batard ‘Crossed the Line’ Calling MLB’s Manfred a Liar

Thursday, ESPN “First Take” co-host Stephen A. Smith criticized fellow ESPN Radio’s Dan Le Batard for calling MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred a liar in a heated interview over the Miami Marlins trading off their star players to slash payroll.

According to Smith, Le Batard “crossed the line” and was “wrong” for his comments to the commissioner because he let his emotions get in the way of facts.

“Dan Le Batard literally said to the commissioner, ‘You’re starting off the interview with a lie.’ That’s not something you say to the commissioner,” Smith explained.

He later added, “I’m not calling the commissioner a liar after he decides to come on my show because I disagree with him.”
