This week on “Saturday Night Live,” host 5’4″ Kevin Hart on stilts played the role of 7’1″ Shaquille O’Neal while Kenan Thompson played the role of Charles Barkley in a skit set on SNL’s version of “Inside the NBA,” reacting to Doug Jones’ Tuesday victory over Republican Roy Moore in Alabama’s special election.
“Barkley” said he was happy for the country and Alabama, but sad because he bet $100,000 on Moore.
“I thought he was a lock,” Thompson said. “I’m from Alabama. It’s not the most progressive place.”
Hart’s Shaq mumbled nonsense the whole skit and the two faux NBA Hall of Famers-turned analysts turned to taking jabs at each other, much like the real Shaq and Barkley.
