Wednesday on Capitol Hill, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) urged Republicans to not go forward with the tax bill until the new Doug Jones, who defeated GOP hopeful Roy Moore in a U.S. Senate special election a night earlier, was seated.
Schumer said, “Today, we Senate Democrats are calling on Mitch McConnell to hit pause on his tax bill and not hold a final vote until Doug Jones is sworn into the Senate.”
