On Wednesday’s “Hugh Hewitt Show,” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) praised 2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney as a “great American,” and someone who he is glad is a Republican.
Host Hugh Hewitt asked McConnell, “Last night, Steve Bannon launched into an attack on Mitt Romney that was just, you know, some people believe it’s anti –.”
McConnell responded, “I can tell you what I think of Mitt Romney. I think he’s a great American, and has had an outstanding career, and is a truly remarkable Republican. I’m glad he’s a member of our party.”
