On Tuesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “The Lead,” Representative Jackie Speier (D-CA) reacted to Senator Al Franken (D-MN) telling Minnesota Public Radio that he can’t say if more accusers will come forward against him by stating Franken’s answer suggests that he knows there are more people who he has behaved inappropriately towards that have not come forward.
Speier said, “I guess I’m a little tired of the dance. Because that would suggest to me that he, in fact, knows that he has done those kinds of things and done it more frequently than has come forward. So, in the end, you know, we’re here representing the people of our districts, but we’re also here representing this institution. And if you bring disgrace on this institution, then I think it’s time for you to go.”
