Monday, ESPN “First Take” co-host Stephen A. Smith said in a discussion about President Donald Trump’s feud with the father UCLA Basketball’s LiAngelo Ball, LaVar, that it should be reported how Trump chooses to talk about LaVar Ball’s ungratefulness, but remains silent on Republican U.S. Senate hopeful Roy Moore’s sexual assault accusations.
“Whether we like it or not, this man is the president,” Smith argued. “He is involved in legislating policy that affects us. And as far as I’m concerned, every damn thing about him should be reported, including the fact that he elects to talk about this instead of [Roy Moore]. That’s a different subject for another day. It would be nice to hear him speak about that, OK, but we suspect why he won’t talk about that — that’s a different subject for another day.”
