On Monday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports,” Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) reacted to President Trump’s comments over the weekend on Russia’s election meddling by stating the president is putting his own self-interest and Vladimir Putin ahead of the country.
Schiff said, “[H]e goes overseas. He doesn’t put the country first, as John McCain said and I made the same observation immediately when I learned of the president’s comments. He’s putting Vladimir Putin first. He’s putting his own — that is Donald Trump’s own, narrow, personal self-interest before the country. And that is a terrible quality to have in the president of the United States.”
