Alabama Governor: ‘Why Wouldn’t’ Moore Accusers Be Trustworthy? I’ll Judge When We Get the Facts

While speaking at a press conference on Friday, Alabama Governor Kay Ivey (R) stated she’ll withhold judgment on the allegations against Alabama Republican Senate nominee Judge Roy Moore until the facts are known and wondered why the story told by Moore’s accusers wouldn’t be trustworthy.

Ivey said the allegations “are deeply disturbing. I will withhold judgment until we get the facts. The people of Alabama deserve to know the truth, and then they’ll make their decisions.”

Ivey was asked if she found the women’s story “trustworthy?” She answered, “Why wouldn’t it be? I don’t know who’s — anything can happen. We’ve just got to get more facts.”
