Thursday on the U.S. Senate floor, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) was heard on a hot mic saying, “He likes us. He likes me anyway,” referring to President Donald Trump.
Schumer said, “Look, what we said was exactly accurate.”
He continued, “Here’s what I told him: ‘Mr. President, you are much better off sometimes stepping right and sometimes step left. You have to step just in one direction; you’re boxed,'”
Schumer added. “He gets that. We are always going to work it out, and it will make us more productive too.”
