Tuesday at the White House press briefing, press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said it was “sad” former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s new book “What Happened?” will mean “the last chapter” of Clinton’s public life will be defined by “propping up book sales with false and reckless attacks.”
When asked if President Donald Trump will read the book, Sanders said, “Whether or not he is going to read Hillary Clinton’s book I’m not sure. I would think that he’s pretty well-versed about what happened and I think it’s pretty clear to all of America. I think it’s sad that after Hillary Clinton ran one of the most negative campaigns in history and lost, and the last chapter of her public life is going to be defined by propping up book sales with false and reckless attacks.”
