Thursday, Fox Sports 1 “Undisputed” co-host Shannon Sharpe reacted to Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett’s run-in with the Las Vegas Police Department where Bennett claims he was singled out based on race.
“[M]aybe I’m not surprised,” he told co-host Skip Bayless. “You notice, Skip? He had a body camera, but it wasn’t turned on.”
Sharpe said that since officers did not have body camera footage of the incident and did not write up a report of Bennett’s detainment that had the defensive end not said anything, nobody would know about the incident, which he used as proof that “this goes on more than we ever thought.”
“If Michael Bennett doesn’t say that, you don’t hear this,” Sharpe argued. “Guess what, Skip? How many Michael Bennetts are there in the United States of America? So this goes on more than we ever thought.”
