FS1’s Sharpe: Jim Brown Is Critical of Kaepernick Protest Because He Wasn’t Invited to Join

During Tuesday’s “Undisputed” on Fox Sports 1, co-host Shannon Sharpe said he is “disappointed” in NFL legend Jim Brown over his comments denouncing Colin Kaepernick’s national anthem protest.

According to Sharpe, Brown is jealous Kaepernick did not come to him for advice.

“It rubbed [Brown] the wrong way he was never asked at any point in time,” Sharpe told fellow host Skip Bayless.

In the segment, Sharpe said Jim Brown was initially behind Kaepernick “100 percent” with the protest only to change his stance in 2017, but Brown criticized the method of Kaepernick’s protest in September 2016 — only saying that he was with Kaepernick “100% in his sincerity.”
