Tuesday on Fox News Channel’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” host Tucker Carlson reacted to the Fox Sports’ Clay Travis “Outkick the Coverage” report that ESPN pulled announcer Robert Lee, an Asian, from calling a University of Virginia football game.
According to Travis, ESPN based its decision on his name being too similar to Confederate General Robert E. Lee’s name.
“This makes it a bigger story than it ever would have been,” Travis told Carlson.
“This is grotesque!” a perturbed Carlson exclaimed. “I’m sorry to lecture, but it does feel like one of those moments where man, maybe things really are coming apart. Maybe the adults are crazy.”
“I was telling my producers we cannot air this because it can’t be real,” he added.
