During a CNN town hall on Tuesday, former Vice President Al Gore stated that part of the answer to solving climate change will be initiatives by the news media like Gore’s CNN town hall and the news media looking objectively at climate change spreading the word about the problem and its solutions.
During his response to a question from 15-year-old in the audience, Gore said, “I want you to live in a world where we’re really on the way to solving this and tens of millions of new jobs, and I want you to be able to look at young people when you’re my age and say, your lives are going to be better still, and ask how did you find the moral courage to rise up and solve this? And part of the answer will be that, you know, the news media had initiatives like this one to say, hey, let’s look at this and let’s really take an objective look at it and spread the word about the problem, what the solutions are, and how people can be a part of it.”
