Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) said it is “incomprehensible” that President Donald Trump was trying to “sabotage” health care.
Sanders was asked about Trump’s Saturday tweet that he will end required payments to insurance companies unless lawmakers repeal and replace Obamacare.
Sanders said, “I really think it’s incomprehensible that we have a president of the United States that wants to sabotage health care and make more difficult for millions of people that are struggling to get the health care insurance and pay for the insurance. Maybe the president should stop his twittering — tweeting for a while and understand that America today is the only country, the only major country on Earth not to guarantee health care for all people. The solution is not to throw off tens of millions of people off of health insurance that they currently have.”
