ESPN’s Tony Kornheiser: Putin ‘Collected’ Robert Kraft’s Super Bowl Ring and the U.S. Presidency

Wednesday on ESPN’s “Pardon the Interruption,” co-host Tony Kornheiser noted it was the 12-year anniversary of Russian President Vladimir Putin mistakenly taking New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft’s Super Bowl ring.

Kornheiser joked that in the 12 years since, Kraft has picked up two more rings while the Russian president “collected” the United States’ presidential election.

“On this day 12 years ago, Putin lifted Bob Kraft’s Super Bowl ring. Kraft showed off his ring to Putin, and the Russian president assumed it was a gift. Since then, Kraft has collected two more rings and Putin has collected a presidential election he so eagerly sought — ours,” said Kornheiser.
