FNC’s Gregg Jarrett: Mueller Should Resign as Special Counsel

During Fox News Channel’s Sunday broadcast of “Fox & Friends Weekend,” network anchor Gregg Jarrett argued that Robert Mueller has a conflict of interest and should, therefore, resign as special counsel to oversee the FBI’s investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

According to Jarrett, Mueller’s close relationship with former FBI Director James Comey is a “glaring conflict of interest.”

“The problem is [Mueller] has a glaring conflict of interest. The law governing the special counsel says you cannot serve if you have a conflict of interest. What’s his conflict? His long and close working and personal relationship with James Comey. Comey is going to be a key pivotal witness in the case, the investigation into interference and collusion will morph into now the Comey meeting quiet with President Trump.”

“We have to make sure that it’s absolutely fair and impartial and objective and this raises serious questions by virtue of Mueller and Comey,” Jarrett pointed out. “They were known to be joined at the hip … They were mentor-protégé.”
