The New York Police Department is looking for the group of men responsible for beating a street vendor in the Bronx unconscious.
Daily Mail reports 53-year-old Souleymane Porgo was attacked Tuesday after earlier in the day stopping a man from stealing a purse. The man reportedly said he would be back later with his friends.
Cell phone video captured of the attack shows Porgo being knocked to the ground with an audible thud and then the men continued to punch him before walking away.
His wife and daughters watched on in horror.
Porgo’s skull was fractured and his jaw was broken in the attack. He underwent surgery to remove part of his skull to decrease the pressure from swelling and internal bleeding in his brain, but he remains in critical condition.
