On Monday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “MTP Daily,” House Democratic Caucus Chairman Representative Joe Crowley (D-NY) argued that “given the fact that President Trump has been so vociferous in his opposition that everything that Barack Obama stood for, attacking all the programs that he put in place,” he wants Obama to give a full response to things President Trump has said.
Crowley said that parties usually look to former presidents for guidance and inspiration, and that “I think many of us want to hear more from former President Obama.”
Crowley was then asked if he wants Obama to give a “full-throated response to some of the things that President Trump says?” He answered, “Normally speaking, I would say no, but I think given the fact that President Trump has been so vociferous in his opposition that everything that Barack Obama stood for, attacking all the programs that he put in place, in particular, the healthcare bill, that –. I don’t think the president — I don’t think President Obama’s going to do that, by the way.”
