Customer Gives Server $500 to Buy New Hearing Aid

Keri Marie Carlson is a waitress at a Connecticut restaurant and was walking a customer to his table when he noticed she had trouble hearing him.

Carlson told the man one of her hearing aids was broken, and the man decided to give her $500 to buy a new one.

“I didn’t say I needed the money or anything. He just came in the back and said ‘I’m not gonna take no for an answer and I can’t let you go home like this.’ And I tried to give him the money back, but he was like, no, you deserve this,” Carlson told New Haven, CT’s WTNH.

The stranger’s kind act motivated the restaurant owner to raise money for the American Society for Deaf Children, so he started selling t-shirts.
