DHS Secretary John Kelly: ‘Even a Single DUI’ Could Lead to Deportation Proceedings

Sunday on NBC’s “Meet The Press,” Secretary of Homeland Security John Kelly said under the Trump administration “even a single DUI,” could get an individual who is in the United States illegally into the immigration system which would eventually result in deportation.

Kelly said, “It is fair to say that the definition of criminal has not changed, but where on the spectrum of criminality we operate has changed.”

He added, “Even a single DUI, depending on other aspects, would get you into the system.”
