Friday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” former United Nations Ambassador John Bolton reacted to the U.S. decision to strike a Syrian air base as a response to President Bashar al-Assad’s use of chemical weapons earlier in the week.
Bolton called it a signal that the era of Obama foreign policy was over and that it sent a signal to other actors in the world to honor their agreements with the United States.
“This is a wake-up call around the world,” Bolton said. “In addition to the chemical weapons convention, of course we had the Russian-Syrian agreement some years back to give up Syria’s illicit of chemical weapons. That really worked out. And I think now we’ve shown we have the determination that when countries enter agreements that involve the United States, they better be prepared to honor their commitments.
